Cast your minds back to Leigh Wood & his immense victory over Michael Conlan. A victory that most pundits didn't foreshadow, after being hurt himself Wood was able to take Conlan out, literally knocking him through the ropes & out of the ring! Wood has proven time & time again that he is a worthy champion. However, he is facing one of the hardest hitters around in Mauricio Lara, a guy that isn't the most technical of boxers, but brings pure action to the ring every time he enters. He stunned the British crowd after beating Josh Warrington in emphatic fashion. If I was to choose a winner here it would be Lara early-mid or Wood in the later rounds. I have seen Lara gas out before & we know Wood has serious staying power. However, I have decided to propose a lay the draw bet as I can't see this one being split, someone will take the victory in my humble opinion!

Dalton Smith showed all his boxing skills during his title fight victory against Kaisee Benjamin. It was a strong performance against really tough opposition that stayed with him all night. His opponent is game Billy Allington, he brings more experience in terms of pro bouts but has yet to prove he's at the level of Dalton Smith. Allington has 0 KO's on his record so shouldn't pose any threat from a power perspective. I see an easy nights work for Smith.
